Kirkwood

Kirkwood (named after James Somers Kirkwood who attempted to begin an irrigation system in the Sundays River Valley in 1877) is an agricultural town that was founded in 1913 and became a municipality in 1950. Well known for the local roses, Kirkwood offers visitors the proverbial "break away from it all". The town is close to the Addo Elephant Park as well.
